Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger Retail DVD Item Preview tigerbox.jpg. Remove-circle Share or Embed This Item. Mac OS X Tiger Retail DVD (iso image) Version 10.4. Thank you for all the great work. You guys are awesome. Are there any Mac OS 10.4.x DVD iso made for Intel/Amd system? Please comment if any available and where to get it? Six weeks after its official release, Apple had delivered 2 million copies of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, representing 16% of all Mac OS X users, not a mark that they aimed for but with such a price they did pretty well. The best part comes now on June 11, 2007, Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs, announced that out of the 22 million Mac OS X.
Possible Alternative if you are currently using Panther 10.3 – Do a Google search for Tiger 10.4 Upgrade DVD. It will upgrade your 10.3 to 10.4, but it doesn’t contain the full retail Tiger installer. Should be cheaper than the retail Tiger install DVD. After you install the base 10.4.x, update to the final Tiger version 10.4.11.
Previously adding Tiger was suggested sometime before WinWorld had major changes. I think what drove the decision not to have it as yet, was that Tiger was also available on the Intel platform, not just the PowerPC. Secondly, I believe similar to Windows XP that it's not overly difficult to find a copy compared to say finding a copy of System 7 floppy disks. Otherwise it's fair to say that Tiger and Leopard even could have easily be available on here by now.
@cephaelus - Typically people would start a new thread under Offers & Requests with the title starting with [OFFER] to signify someone offering something that may be of interest. Otherwise people would simply use the Contribution page to upload their ISO or floppy disk images to the FTP server, however this function is currently not available. At the moment it's a matter of sending a PM to SomeGuy so he can download it and make it available for everyone if he thinks it's worthy enough.

- By dada78641I recently found this VMware image of OSX 10.4 (it's listed as 10.10 Yosemite, but it's actually 10.4.7 Tiger). It works really well, runs out of the box on my VMware Fusion 8.5.10 on OSX 10.14 Mojave.
The automatic updater even still works! However, when I update the system, either to 10.4.11 using the updater, or by installing the 10.4.8 update dmg manually, it breaks:
I don't know how this VM was set up initially, and I wasn't actually running OSX on non-Apple hardware back during the time when 10.4 was modern, so I'm hoping maybe someone here can tell me what's going on.
I'm thinking that there's probably something special that needs to be set up for the system to boot at all, which gets erased when the update runs. So I should install the update, then choose not to restart, so that I can ensure the system stays bootable.
Hope anyone can help! I'm trying to recreate my old 10.4 work setup, but Adobe CS 3 won't install without having at least 10.4.8 installed. Appreciate any help.
edit:
Just now I was able to press F8 before boot to get verbose info. (Since it crashes almost instantly you need to press F8 at a very specific time, so earlier I thought it wasn't possible to do.)
